Theo Jansen
Born in Scheveningen, the Netherlands, in 1948. Studied physics at Delft University of Technology. Became a painter in 1975 and began making kinetic art [Strandbeest] in 1990. Has been attracting attention for producing a variety of works that are a fusion of art and science.
